How do PayPal refunds work?
- You can get refund payments for up to 60 days from the payment date.
- If you want a refund of part of the payment, PayPal will refund part of the PayPal fees.
Here’s an example. Fees vary by country.
| Original transaction | $100.00 USD |

| PayPal fees | $3.20 USD ($2.90 USD variable fee + $0.30 USD fixed fee) |
| 50% refund | $50.00 USD |
| PayPal refunds | $1.45 USD of your fees (50% of $2.90 USD variable fees) |
So, $48.55 USD of the refund is covered, and PayPal automatically charges $1.45 USD
